The Greens Cook Book was written by Deborah Madison and Edward Espe Brown. The Greens Restaurant in San Francisco is world famous for its vegetarian cuisine and fab views of the bay and the bridge. This cook book is a sampling of what you would find to eat there! Co-authored by Edward Espy Brown of the Tassajara Zen Mountain Monastery where he became fomous for his bread, and the cook book he wrote about the experience. Deborah Madison was a chef at The Greens and specialized in farm-fresh ingredients for her dishes.
