Barely used Akai MPK mini is a lot of fun to play with. It has 8 assignable touch pads, appegiator, a joystick for pitch and modulation and 8 assignable knobs.

You must hook it up to a computer with studio software.  Then you can play any instrument (thru the software) and control other midi instruments as well. It’s has 25 keys and is very lightweight, just over 2 pounds. It comes with an optional custom travel case.
